From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank the Hungarian Homecoming crew for making my dream come true. After 63 years, they brought my mom back to her motherland, reuniting us with long-lost relatives and allowing us to explore the beautiful country of Hungary, where our roots lie. The journey was not just fantastic, but deeply emotional and meaningful. Misi and Zsolt were incredible, guiding us with care and attention, ensuring we felt comfortable, safe, and happy at every turn. They even created a beautiful film about our journey, which captures the essence of our experience perfectly. I am eagerly looking forward to returning to Hungary to further discover its beauty and connect with its wonderful people. Thank you again, Hungarian Homecoming. Forever grateful to Zsolt and Mihaly for organizing an amazing trip to Magyarország in 2023. They arranged for a permit and a lovely boat from the Budapest authorities to scatter my mother’s ashes in the Duna. They also assisted in locating cousins I did not know I had and finding my father’s grave, a father I had not seen since 1956. Without Zsolt and Mihaly, I would not have experienced such a momentous trip. Thank you, gentlemen

In 2019, my sister Maria and I wanted to do some research about our Hungarian Grandparents who had left Hungary after the war some 70 years ago. But how could we do that when neither of us spoke any Hungarian and had very little information to go by? While both of us had visited Hungary before as tourists, embarking on a tour to discover more about our Hungarian Grandparents and their history was something we knew we couldn’t do on our own. Hence calling on Zack and Eniko to help us. Using their knowledge, their many invaluable contacts and resources, we embarked on a journey of discovery that would result in constant tears, tears of joy and which would lead to some amazing discoveries about our heritage. The personalised trip took us through parts of Hungary, but particularly through Transylvania (Romania), where our family’s story began. What an experience! Our guides were not only our guides, but they were also friends who helped us find out so much about our history and about our homeland. By the end. We were no longer tourists but family members who had come home.
